Innovation remains alive 

Despite continuing economic difficulties in the world, stone and tile manufacturers have not lost their desire to develop new and creative products.  I recently attended Cevisama, a large tile exhibition that is held annually in Valencia, Spain, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that innovation was at a high.  A multitude of textures, finishes and tile shapes and sizes were prominently displayed throughout the exhibition halls.  Click here to read more

The 27th edition of the Cevisama trade fair was recently held in Valencia, Spain, and tile manufacturers came armed with their newest developments to display for the masses

Each year, thousands of tile manufacturers from around the world convene in Valencia, Spain, to display their latest collections to an international crowd at Cevisama -- the International Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings Show. The exhibition, which was held this year from February 10 to 13, 2009, never ceases to disappoint with its expansive halls filled with innovative product lines that offer dazzling aesthetics as well as functionality.  Click here for a sampling of the many intriguing products that were launched at Cevisama 2009

 A Zen-like retreat

Designed with inspirations coming from the South Seas, the Sayan residential tower in Miami, FL, hosts a range of natural stone and glass mosaic products to create the relaxing environment its developer, J. Green Design

One of the most storied campuses in the country received a prominent new addition this past September with the dedication of Jefferson Hall, the U.S. Military Academy (USMA) Library at West Point, NY. While designed in a 21st century style, the building also pays tribute to the classic designs on campus, including the use of domestic granite for the exterior and interior cladding. Full article

Innovation peaks at Cevisama 2009

Once again, Valencia, Spain, was the site for Cevisama -- the International Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings Show.  Now in its 27th year, the exhibition was held from February 10 to 13, 2009, and it spanned more than 555,000 square feet in size. Coverings celebrates 20 years

CHICAGO, IL -- The 2009 edition of Coverings marks a monumental year for the annual stone and tile exhibition, as it will be celebrating its 20th anniversary.
